This award-winning vase is by Yankton Tribe member Megan Sweets.Megan's company, Earth Forged By Fire, was born by her respect for her Native ancestry, her love of nature, and her intense creativity. Megan has been awarded at least 11 best in shows since 2014 for her stunning pottery. Each piece is raku-style, fired in an outdoor kiln. During the firing process, natural objects, such as leaves, wood, metals, etc. are added to create her distinct earthen colors. Megan's pottery is highly desirable to pottery collectors.
